Back again

Ha! I found my way back
Current mood: cheerful

Well not much news, even after being gone so long.

Besides the move I have been diagnosed with Diabetes, and have finally gone in for that cat- scan on my back, I get the results of that on Monday (finally! a year and ½ after I first went to the Doc. for unmanagable back pain) the Diabetes is not under control & although I don't have to take shots yet, I do have to take 3 different kinds of pills (plus the ones for my back) nothing but a drug store around here ha ha ha.

Well enough of that, maybe all this will help me loose that 50 pounds I've put on since leaving the work place. Which, let me tell you I MISS!

Don being back to log home building is gone lots and Sammy is never home what with school and work. That leaves just me and myself , well, and my books, AND at last my computer. Hey I finally have high speed Internet again! Yahoo!

We've had to put a lot into storage as this suite is so small, but we are comfortable and it has a nice view, all in all I am happy. I am planning on socking away a lot of money for Sammy 's college fund. And I am planning on paying her in monthly checks rather than one lump sum, ( hee hee I did learn something from the other two after all). Don is making almost triple what he did at the ranch, money makes the world go round, right?

Shawn my son has moved back to BC, although not to Merritt & they are still closer than Alberta anyway. My little granddaughter Samantha who is 2 is sure bossing him around lol, and he just laughs and says, "What can I do".

Sarah quit her job and took an evening one which gives her days at home so she doesn't need a babysitter, as Darin is home in the evenings. It seems to be working out well for them.

We kept the Dog, Spook with us and she is adjusting, slowly I admit, but Don takes her with him when he can. The horse Tucker is farmed out to the Douglas Lake ranch for the winter and the cowboys will ride him, if they like him and he works out as a cowpony they will buy him. Now what we will do with that new western show saddle we just bought Sam I am not sure, probably sell that to. Oh well more money for Sams college fund, I know from experience she'll need lots of money the first year, She has to furnish an apartment and there is the utilities etc. hopefully her friend will share expenses with her. Sam's goals have changed, she now is taking languages, French English and Spanish, and she wants to be an airline hostess for a couple of years and then go in to translating. So she will end up a city girl I guess. lol

So that's it..2 plus months of not being here and not much to say …I'm just boring, I guess.

Hope everyone is well and happy !

packing up and moving again

Packing up and moving again ...Loads to do, I seem to have spread out all over the ranch & I just cant get it all together. Only 1/2 a month left to do it in too. I have been packing here and there willy -nilly and never finishing any thing. So today I am starting in the basement and doing that until its done, then finish the dining room etc. Boxes I need Boxes help!! I have somehow filled 4 bookcases of books in the year I've been in this house and that's with all the library reading I have done to. No way can I get rid of them as 1/2 of them I haven't read yet. Lets hope I can get them into a box before I start to read them hee hee.
bye for now

He did it again!

Well he did it~accepted the job with the log house builders. Without talking to me. ! The last I heard about it he had said no and that was before the wedding. I guess They sweetened the pot, to the hourly wage they offered a while back they also offered , free rent and a company truck & gas. 8 to 10 hour days 5 days a week and he can work all the overtime he wants, or none at all. He said yes!! So I guess we are leaving Ranch life and moving on to something else.
I have yet to tell Sammy, we will have to do something about her horse, find out how much it is to board it or sell it or something. She only has a year before she goes to college so its up to her. I guess she could sell it and add it to her college fund??
I am not sure how I feel, I've moved lots in the past 2 or 3 years, another move or 2 wont kill me but its sure hard to settle in someplace if you are going to move in a year or so. Well its midnight and I don't even have my glasses on so I am not sure what I am typing.. Ill draft this and finish tomorrow I guess.
Well I've had a couple of days now to let it sink in, I'm still not sure how I feel, mostly sad I think, I really liked it here, and will miss it. I guess we are not leaving the area, and maybe we can find a house outside of town somewhere so we don't have to live right down town.
I don't feel like blogging right now, I'll get back to this later

Cherries, weight gain and a history lesson , all in one post Wow!

OHhhh, so sick, I have a tummy flue. hummm I wonder if its too many cherries??..Maybe that cherry milkshake I made last night, or the cherry pie, which was sooooo good, had a few frozen cherries too. Oh yes it was the cherries!!
Today I was supposed to clean out my poor van; I haven't done it since before the wedding. What a mess! Anyway I don't feel like it right now, so here I am on the computer.
I have been watching Don and the dog do the water "thing" out the back window by my computer. What a lot of walking he does, no wonder he is so skinny (the dog is too)
I am cooking Baron of beef tonight, poor hubby needs feeding up.
My weight is not doing so good; I think I have gained another 10 pounds since the wedding, although the scale says I am the same weight. I don't know, nothing seems to fit me and I have done nothing but laze around since the wedding. Maybe I should take that trip out to Alberta and visit Shawn (my son) and the baby for a while. Maybe I am depressed about everything that’s been going on around here? I don’t know...
Hey on a different note, some one contacted me about my family tree. They are related through an out of wedlock child, I asked my Mom and she said her Uncle did have a child out of wedlock back in the early 1900's sometime. My family has a connection to Romany Gypsies from the Isle of Mann, and I think this is what she wants to know about. Ahh explaining the difference between Gypsies and the OTHERS is a hard thing, most people hear the word Gypsies and that’s that. But there is a difference...there are the Gypsies, those who were born Romany, have a long heritage and are CLEAN and although they maybe be poor, proud of who they are They care for the environment around them and clean up the area they live in. Then there are the OTHERS, people who ancestors chose to live with, or like the Gypsies, They (not all of them, but most) can be smelly, dirty and uncaring of the earth they live on. Their campgrounds are filthy and children dirty and scruffy on the most part, quick-fingered scam artists who are fast becoming social assistant bums who don’t work. Now you are thinking I am cruel and discriminating, but I am not, I just don’t want you to think my family comes from that!! Even my sister when she went back to England asked, "what is that" as they drove past an camp of them, "Gypsies" she was told, "NO they are not " My sister replied, we don't live like that. Kind of shocked her friend who had no idea she had Gypsy heritage. The Gypsies I remember lived in trailers, true, but they carried NO garbage with them, no clutter, no mess. They Used bleach, because things had to be clean. My grandmother even bleached the rope clothesline she put out to hang her washing on. Things sparkled and nothing from below the waist ever touched something from above the waist. Yes that is true...You don’t use towels, or cloths for you bath to dry your dishes, you don't wash dish towels and face towels in the same wash (something I still believe) & you don't wash your dishes in the same bowl you wash yourself in, and my grandmother, and mother had a bucket of bleach water they dropped their cups into if they weren’t going to do the dishes right away. Shoes were never put on the table or bed, Oh I could go on for ages ha ha ha.
Along time ago when my Grandma was little she can remember sitting at a Gypsy fire and watching some scruffy people coming into camp.the older women were all looking out of the corner of their eyes and making comments one of the comments was " Dik Aki" which means look there or in other words Look at that!! Nowadays, a lot of these "new Gypsies " are calling themselves " Didakias" it isn't very hard to figure out where that one came from is it ha ha ha.
Now I better quit while I am ahead, ha ha ha, if anyone who knows me reads this I'll get into big trouble...But I just wanted to state there is a difference and Gypsies and Romany’s or Romany Gypsies are two different things.
Now verbal history as told in our family says: Along time past, our family was passing through Italy, Rome in fact, And a great favor was done for the Pope of that time so a reward was given to the
Romany Gypsies,"CartBlanch" they could take what they needed to survive in their travels & day to day living. The one thing Romany’s do is travel, and they traveled from there through many countries including France & England where they thought the Popes word would still be good to.ooops that is how they got the name for thievery and robbery when the poor Romany’s were only taking a meal to survive.
Now another thing, many people say there were No Gypsy Kings and Princes. That might be right, but again in our verbal history it is stated the when we (Gypsies) arrived, there were those who rode in silks and colors and there were the masses who walked behind. That might not mean Kings and such but it did mean there was a class difference amongst them.
Well enough for today in Romany history ha ha ha.
Bye for now

Rambling on about Cherries, Superman & Gypsies

What am I to do with a fridge full of cherries. Ha Ha Ha..Well I know what to do , but who wants to do canning when the temp is getting up to around 34.. I never did pull out the stove from the motor home so its inside canning or none at all. Now a friend did tell me I could freeze them all, & that they are good eaten frozen on a hot day or after freezing them, I can can them at a later date when it is cooler.
Cloudy today so I am hoping it will not be as hot today (( Its still to hot to do any canning people!!))But it is a good day to wash the floor which has been needing it for a little while now.
Don asked for his once a year lump sum raise. He only asked for 100$ a month raise to be paid once a year, I am thinking they won't go for it..Ranching is funny that way , and they have let him know that he is one of the highest paid ranch hands around already. Which maybe true, but the bigger Ranches don't work their Men 7 days a week and more than 8 hours a day either. Ah well, this is where my Romany Gypsy heritage just might come in handy ha ha ha.. It just might be Don says "time to be moving on" I've moved a lot with him over the years, It was just the time period that I had a job in the Post Office that I couldn't go with him. I'm Retired now and Sammi is out of school in a year, and its a whole big world out there, right? ha ha ha I am not going to stress over it, although I think He ( Don ) is, he really likes it here, but is feeling like they want him to do it all and keep working each day until it is finished. They probably don't , hee hee , they have to know he is NOT Superman.
Shawn hasn't been phoning much, I hope all is going OK for him and baby Sammy. Sarah phoned yesterday and they are all doing OK.
I let Sammi stay out until midnight last night and she was ready to be picked up at 11:30,which was great, but I made the mistake of napping after 9 pm and so when we got home I was wide awake. I played around on the computer for a while then went to bed at 1 am. Was awake again at 3 am and again at 5 am , finally I got up at 7:15...And don't you know it, NOW I am tired.
so I think I am going back to bed for a nap, and tonight I'll stay up later with no naps ha ha ha.
Talking about My Gypsy heritage, I have a webpage out there that has my family names in it., and a few days ago I got a message in my Guest Book from a "maybe" relation.. Someone who is related to my Grandmothers brother. She lives in England..I am looking forwards to talking to them more now, and it has gotten me interested in genealogy again.. (( that last was an awkward sentence if I ever saw one , but oh well you get the meaning))
Well time for my nap, better go now before Don comes in for breakfast at 10 am.

Running air through your fingers

Its that time of year again, yup Tourist season. The Merritt Mountain Music Fest is a little more than a week away and people are already in town so they can get a good campsite up there on the festival Grounds.
You can tell the tourists as you drive along, Most likely they are wearing some type of colored (pink ) or sparkling cowboy hats and /or they have their hand out side the car window playing with the air as they drive by. It looks like they are waving at you, ((And sometimes I wave back just because I can ha ha ha)). They move there fingers like they are doing hand exercises and wave there arm up and down from the elbow, kind of a lazy , flowing motion that lets the dry hot air flow over their hands and through their fingers. How do I know this, well, I hate to admit it ,but, way back when, I was a tourist to the area to!!! And YUP you guessed it I got great enjoyment from feeling the strangeness of the dry , silken air rushing through and around my hand here in the Thompson, Okanagan Area. Still it brings a smile to my face when I see it, and the thought "tourist" passes through my mind. I love tourist season, everyone is so friendly and happy when on holiday (( well most everyone, there are those few that nothing seems to make them happy )) Anyway I try to be as friendly as I can back when I am in town, but I have to admit that the week of music fest I STAY HOME!! Way to many people for me ha ha ha. This year with Sammi working at Wal Mart, I will have to brave the crowds driving in our small town. This is a scary thought as last year forgetting that it was Music Fest I went downtown, well I headed that way, I got to the main road going through out small town and cars were lined up in all 4 directions. I was in the left hand turn lane , and thank God we have a light now for that, and I had waited about 4 or 5 lights to finally get to be first in line. While waiting for the light to change the people directly across from me missed a light, why I don't know but he didn't move and the person behind him got out of his car and dragged that other driver out of there car and a fist fight started , right there in the middle of the intersection. Dammed if I was going to miss my light and get beaten up also, so I turned went around them and proceeded to go home with out stopping in town. One more thing as I turned the corner about 3 cars back on the road I was turning onto was a cop car, he was just sitting waiting, weather he knew and didn't care about the fight or hadn't seen it I don't know, Although how he could miss it makes me wonder what was occupying his attention as they were stopping traffic by that time, Ahhh the joys of the "Old West".

On raising kids, dead grass, and what to do with Cherries

Photo ( right ) of Sammy she's 16 ( almost 40 ha ha)

*******************************************
So...Things are better, I have had a couple of talks to Sammy, and I am sure we understand one another. I understand this is her last year of high school, and 1/2 her friends Graduated this year. That there will be parties all summer long, to say good bye to those moving on and those looking forward to their Grad next year. So I am not stopping the parties, I set limits and also will pick her up as much as I can so she isn't out all hours of the night. This I hope will stop the heavy drinking just because I am coming to get her. Yeah you are right, ha ha I hate to fight. Anyway one party a weekend, work comes first, and I will pick her up & She still gets to go out.
We will try it for a while and see how it goes. I'm guessing as most of them work weekends the parties will switch to weekday nights. ha ha ha..I'm not that old that I don't remember partying Sammy, I'll still come and get you. Anyway she broke up with her boyfriend a little while ago, a nice kid named Ryan, I am sure its because he is moving away for work and she is terrified of being hurt again if he finds someone else while he is away. ( she had a boyfriend who cheated on her 3 or 4 times she says) I am worried that as soon as she starts to feel to close to someone she breaks up and starts to date someone else so she wont get hurt.. she says no but ....well I know what the cheating thing feels like and it takes a long time to regain the trust let me tell you.. anyway enough of that she has to work it out by herself...its just ...well...POOR Boys!!

On the home front..Well..I'm stressed out a little on that, but I think it will work out to. Don's just burnt out from haying over 300 acres in 15 days with no time off and dawn to dusk. I would be to. Anyway if you want to know what I'm talking about I posted it on MY Space Blog at
http://blog.myspace.com/_wanda_

I haven't been watering the lawn since the wedding and in 15 days it has gone dead! I guess having a nice green lawn takes effort and water. I keep reminding myself to get out there and water, but when the evening comes and its time to put it on, I have forgotten all about it. Its a good thing the wedding was last month that's all I can say. I have managed to keep the flowers blooming , which, with my brown thumb is amazing let me tell you! Talking about keeping things alive,The cherries are almost ripe and I'll have to can them soon, I am thinking of taking the stove out of the motor home and doing it outside so it won't heat up my house anymore than it is. Its an oven all by itself let me tell you, so hot here. Canning outside is Something to think on anyway, OR I could just do it in the motor home , it has air conditioning to.. YUMMY Cherries my favorite time of year. Our tree has those little red ones although my favorite cherry is the big black-red ones "Bing" cherries. I stopped at a roadside sale and bought some today, so you know what I am doing right now , right hee hee?
Cherry pie if it wasn't so hot I'd make one, I like those to. ha ha..
So I want to loose a few pounds and what do I do ? Think , talk , and buy Cherries, pies and ice cream..Yeah well maybe next year I'll be thinner.. I wonder if there is such a thing as Cherry cobbler, or brown Betty type thing??? hummm I think I am off recipe hunting , catch you
later folks, bye

NO..NO...NO..

Children ..Yup I have a few and what can you do with them hey? I cant seem to get it right, Im either to strict or not strict enough. You'd think by the time they are out of high school they'd be ok and know right from wrong, well I guess we never learn. The 2 oldest are still working on getting it right and my youngest at 16 is telling me her world is OK but at the same time in subtle ways letting me know she is very mixed up . I worry about her so much, there are so many pitfalls, drinking, drugs, sex, all things I can only tell her about what NOT to do and then I come across as an asshole parent who knows nothing about life nowadays. !
Yeah well kids put us through the wringer there is no doubt about that is there.
So I wonder how she'd feel if I put my foot down and said ...
NO to parties,
No to staying over at friends
No to drinking
NO to all the stuff she tells me her friends have permission to do.
Its the drinking and parties that are getting to me. I was being "cool" parent and letting her go thinking that she was having a wine cooler or two, but now I find that she has been drinking 26ers as she calls it.
Its like Ive said OK you can do anything you want this summer!! How am I going to take that back and stop her from drinking? I think Ive created a monster of a problem..if I continue to let it happen I'm no damn good as a parent, when I stop her, I'll be a bitch , and a rotten parent..I know I know you cant be friends with your kids until they are out of there teen years..I honestly thought a few drinks would teach her how to handle herself for when she goes to college and is out on her own, a year from now. Parents were supposed to be there at these parties, now I am beginning to think they weren't, well at least at the last few. I've let her run free the past 3 or 4 months and am so worried I have done wrong. I wonder if all these other parents know the kids are drinking so heavily?
..Lord if she reads this she would probably yell at me.
I didn't let my eldest daughter go to parties, so she would stay at friends and sneak out. I found that out later. My youngest , well, I was trying to hit a middle ground. Something I now think is impossible.
Anyway however you look at it , at 16-( almost 17 she tells me) years old, a half a 26 of Malibu ( whatever that is) that she drank at the party on Friday night ...its too much!

On Dusty Days and Weddings

Yup its that time again. Hay season and my eyes are watering and my nose is stuffy. Ha ha its a good thing I don't have to go out there to work this year. We have extra help !! Yahoo! One field is done and Steve is picking up the large round bales and putting them into the stack yard. Don my hubby spent all morning going over the round baler and square balers to make sure all was in working order while Billy swathed ( cut down) the triangle field. The pivot field was cut down 2 days ago and, is now ( 12:30) on its way to being raked and bailed. There is lots and lots of hay this cut, and it looks like it will be a long hot dusty summer .I am so glad this ranch is in the mountains, its so much cooler up here. That's the one thing I miss about the coast, the ocean and its constant cooling breezes.
Well its hard to believe that the wedding was a week ago! The weather was wonderful (and after all that worrying to ha ha ha.) We had a lot of people who couldn't make it, but also being the friendly neighborhood that we live in, we had a lot of last minute guests we invited, so all in all we had about 65 to 70 guests including children. The Children had a blast, they were allowed to run free all over the yard ( as long as they stayed out of the bull pen ha ha) and Don loaded up the wagon and gave them all a ride to see the cows and Duncan our pet highland steer. (above photos)
The adults had fun too, they must have with the amount of bottles we took to the bottle depot today. ha ha ha

I am going to post a few photos of the wedding, I haven't developed a lot but I do have a few from the digital camera that I can post.

All that worrying about the wedding, and I forgot to put out the ham I had baked and sliced , most of the goodies I had baked and some how most of the cheese ( I have 3 blocks of marble cheese sitting in my fridge eeek!!) Why we missed the marble cheese I don't know . All in all it went well food and roast beef and salmon was plentiful. Rose , the grooms mother is an excellent cook and took over the kitchen and got everything to the tables on time. People enjoyed the relaxed BBQ atmosphere. In fact, a couple of people told me they wished they had done this with there wedding. The old folk spent the evening indoors watching the hokey game on TV while the younger partied outside..In the evening we lit the fire and at midnight the snacks came out again, beef in a bun and salads. Even after all that eating we still had loads left over.I sent Sarah and Darin home with what they could take and ended throwing out any thing that had Mayo. in it. Otherwise food lasted all week ha ha ha, now its back to cooking.( although I do have a fridge full of cheese and a freezer full of sliced ham and goodies)

Talking about Ham, I made the mistake for making Don and the workers Ham sandwiches for their lunch, I guess it was a little salty hee hee as they died of thirst and I had to take out extra water and juice. Won't do that again, to day it is egg sandwiches, ( I still have 5 dozen eggs in my fridge to!!)

well I'll post photo's now in another post

later

Garden wedding and the weather looks bad all week!!

OHHH help the weather is calling for rain and clouds all week until Friday!! The wedding is on Sat!! the ground will be wet and damp unless Sat is a heat wave!! I wonder if I shoud plan to have as much inside as I can???.. I will just have to wait and see what they call for on Sat. I guess.
I wonder why I never posted this, I guess I just never got back to it with all the stuff I had to do. Anyway it warmed up and the weather for the wedding was perfect!! and the ground was dry to ha ha ha.

Thunder, lighting & wind and the baby laughed

The Thunder roared and lightning flashed and the rain came down in buckets..The wind picked up and soon small things were flying through the air and worried about my hanging baskets I went out onto the deck. I hate thunder storms usually , but baby Sammi followed me outside and was so enthused by it all I actually enjoyed it . Especially when she put out her arms like she was going to fly away in the wind ha ha ha. Hair blowing all around her and arms out streached she ran around the porch in the wind and rain barefooted ..Squealing in delight, how could you not have fun yourself!! Both of us were totally soaked and cold when we came back inside, hot chocolate to warm us and we cuddled on the couch to watch the rest of the storm go by.

Today I took off, as you can tell, no wedding planning or cooking or cleaning or anything else. Both Don and I sat around and enjoyed the day, and the baby. Life is good ! And I should take peoples advice more often and relax, things will happen as they will , and in the long run, however it goes they will get married on Sat the 17th of June,2006.
((We did however ,thinking back, order the buns from the bakery and also order them pre-sliced, that will save me a little time. We were in town and luckily remembered, I have been trying to order them for a while now but keep forgetting))

Our guest list is now at around 75 give or take a few..Almost doubled from where we started at around 40 guests hee hee hee, and I have to admit its not all Sarah and Darin mostly its been thinking of the neighbors and inviting them , and a few friends of Sams etc.

Sarah is getting her hair cut tomorrow morning so wont be here until the afternoon or later. We will both sit down on Tuesday and plan out our week.. And how we will put the decorations into the yard. Darin is going hunting ha ha ha, we will see, I have so many plans, & things for a young strong man to do, and Don is getting tired of me asking him to do things, he will so enjoy Darin being here all week. ha ha ha
bye for now, more later

Its a good thing I wasn't wearing eye makeup

Yeah, I was crying, things are catching up to me, and for once I couldn't find anything to laugh about. My house is untidy and has cobwebs and fingerprints all over., It seems like everything has to wait until the last min. To cook or make, and almost everyone who said they were coming early have found something other to do leaving me alone with a 2 year old. WAAAAAA..WAAAA
And then how much of everything do I need, like if I am making potato salad, for 80 to 90 guests how many potatoes how many eggs???? I finally stopped panicking and got on the internet and typed in quantity cooking...Oh wonderful, wonderful site! It even has a recipe converter to convert my reg. Recipe's to amounts needed YES!! Smiling today!! Oh yes I am. And wonders of wonders Sarah and Darin have both been able to get away early and are coming Monday night..More smiles from me...Rose will come on Wednesday and that will be enough help in my small kitchen anyway.
I must take photos lol, before and after...Just so you can see how gray haired I have become. I have always laughed easy and cried easy, but not the type to totally panic like that..You'd think I have to make dinner for the Queen or something ha ha ha..
Well time to go , no time to sit ...I'll rest later when its all over. One week and counting..
talk to you all then.
PS I am not writing any emails lately , I just don't have time, I hope you all think to check my blogg now and again, if not , well we will catch up later I guess
bye Wa.

Unless they cook themselves there will be no Cookies today!

AAAAkkk..What a day! I was supposed to bake cookies for Hubby but got side tracked by many many things lol. Mostly the phone call from Wal Mart for my younger daughter saying her interview was today at 3pm. She doesn't get out of school until 3:10 so I tried to change it to 3:30, the best I could do was as close to 3pm as she could make it.. And of course she went to school today in flip flops and shorts!! Now I have to make a trip down the stairs to her basement room!! Its another country down there let me tell you, her amazing carpet of many colors, and lumps and bumps ( her clothes closet sits empty!!) make it hard to navigate let alone open the door. Next to find something clean, that fits , and is work worthy, and wont need to much of a hot iron. Yeah well it took me a while and of course the pants I chose were a little to tight she made do though. While I was down there I did some laundry just incase I couldn't find anything clean ha ha ha. all through this trip to the "other world" the phone was ringing will calls from Capital one master card insisting I sign up, & great telephone deals for long distance , the library saying my books were there for pick-up and my daughter saying she had a ride home so I didn't have to bring her clothes to her just have them ready to put on. Right!! its already noon and I haven't done anything but sweep the floor. So I get out the pans and measuring cups, hubby comes home for lunch "I'm just starting the cookies" sez I. I stopped and made his lunch, chatted with him and got him back to work lol . Now I don't know if I have mentioned this or not but I am looking after my 2 years old granddaughter for a month...she has had an upset tummy for a little while now, change of water and environment I guess, maybe teething also, ANYWAY! She filled her diaper, also getting her jeans, and my floor!! What is it about this ranch and poop!! ha ha ha
Bath time again..Still no cookies , now its going on 2:30 and I still haven't had word from my oldes daughter who supposedly left Vernon for Merritt at 11am..she should be here by now, at 3 she phones, they went fishing, ( while I imagined car accidents etc.) still no cookies, The baby wont go for a nap to I take her outside to play hoping to tire her out ..Right! Its now time for Sam to get home and panic and go to her appointment..Everything calms down hubby appears for snack of cookies...NO COOKIES... And now its 4:17 pm and I am typing not baking!!
so no blogging today..Well only this ..Which I guess is a blogg of sorts ha!
I am off to make cookies and Then supper. (I hope! eeek)
bye

No not me, its the pollen, and cotton wood trees are blowing their fluff around to thats what floating in the air.... My eyes water and itch and I sneeze all the time. I know take an anti-histamine but that means a trip to town and I am feeling lazy, so I suffer ..
The dog is sulking today as she cannot ride on the ATV with Don to work. He is up in the paddock with the horses putting up the electric gates to stop them ( the horses) from getting into the hay fields, anyway they are high strung and might kick the dog, especially if she decides to herd them like she does the cattle. So she is in her carrying crate, where she puts herself when she is angry at us lol.
My plants are not doing well at all, they are drooping in the heat, I water them in the evening but I am thinking maybe I should water them also in the early morning?????
Well the baby is doing better, but I am not ha ha ha, I am thinking maybe I am coming down with the flu also.
Well now I find I am running two bloggs, one on MySpace and one here, I will not be able to keep up on both I fear..lol but will try... maybe with a little cheating now and again ( I will copy paste from one to the other) Well I have fed the baby at least 4 little freezies to keep her quiet while I type on here..lol Nasty Granny that I am, It will serve me right if all that sugar makes her act up. lol But in reality she has been getting a lot of freezies as its was all she could hold in her little tummy during the flue, now I am going to have to wean her off them.
bye for now

Flying down the Old Dirt Road

Flying down the old Dirt Road at high speed, well not realy , but soon they will be , thank you very much as they have finally finished re pounding and re- graveling ( is there such a word) the road that runs through the Ranch. Seeing as its just a easment they will not pave it, and that my friends , in my oppinion, is a good thing, as I said the people who use it to cut through to Sunshine Valley Road West travel way and far to fast . We already lost our cat to hit and pause ( no stopping for that driver) it was right in front of Sammi too, the cat died in her arms as she was running to us for help. Can't you just see the speeds they'd reach if it was paved.
Well I got the last of my plants into the ground..finally lol..me and my brown thumb , I am holding my breath to see if they take and I have any sort of a garden at all for the wedding.
Yep, my second child is getting married June 17 this year, and enough of that, I talk way to much about the wedding all the time. I will try and keep this space wedding free hee hee hee.
The baby is still sleeping and has been down for at least 3 hours I think..thereabouts, I wonder if I should wake her..its been so long since I looked after a baby..I kinda forgett..
well should I do the usual poop scoop? yeah...I just have to and besides no one but me reads this blog anyway ha ha ha
POOP SCOOP May 30th 2006....
Horse is gone until August, so no poop there
Dog is still at it all over the yard too.
One cat left "Chong" ( Cheech was killed by somthing) and the Chong is at it in my garden as usuall, today I put up chicken wire and I'll have to get Don to staple it in so it stays.
chickens are gone..no poop
rabbits have multiplyed and 22 more were bought home as well that means we have rabbit ball poop all over the yard to.. (I hope the chicken wire keeps the rabbits away from the flowers to)
